Culmination of this is that a mini garden has taken its shape in the centre, in which different types of plants and flowers and flowerbeds are filled with Plants. There are meadows which seem like green carpets used by college students for their study work. Whenever colleges need to organise the program this mini garden helps a lot and even students are caring for the garden during programs. It gives a better feeling to our eyes after marathon work at the college and office.
This mini garden is the best conclusion of the collective efforts of the college staff and student. Whenever Gandhi Jayanti or any other workshop is organized in the college, then students prepares beautiful bouquet and garlands from this garden with this we welcome our guests. The garden saves money as well as enhances the arts of the students. Truly this Garden brings the feeling of happiness over the faces of each person.

It saves our money and giving the chance to increase the skills. so the above activity makes its success.
6. Problems encountered and resources required.
The major Problem involved was the construction and the economic support, college staff took the challenges and faced several problems and made sure that this work can be completed in time. The second set back we face is maintenance as regular maintenance is a big task in front of management. We are actually trying hard to make this garden a success. There are various committees and work action plans made by the college to ensure smooth functioning and maintenance of the garden.
7. Notes: Recently we have developed Mini Garden, for environmental and campus welfare purpose. In future we will develop this garden as botanical garden.
Best Practice 2
1.Title of practice:
Plastic free campus
2.Objective of the practice:
The major objective of the practice is to create a plastic free campus and make awareness about harmful effect of plastic.
3.The Context:
Best practice on plastic free campus and awareness.
4.The Practice:
Plastic and its excessive use today have become a curse for mankind and the entire environmental system. Cows, bulls and other animals are dying by eating plastic bags and other plastic things. Due to the same plastic the fertility of the land is decreasing, it's because of the lack of the proper disposal of plastic and many problems are arising. By looking those environmental problems the Principal, teaching staff and organized club i.e. Eco Club has decided to make the entire college campus a plastic free zone. Plastic use was observed in the beginning and after various sessions and discussions on plastic free campus. The members of the college family automatically stopped using plastic bags and single use plastics in the college and for this awareness programs are run from time to time, under which the college campus is cleaned every 15 days. And the villages around the college are also made aware of the ill effects of plastic, as a result of this single use plastic and sheet are not used in the college and the entire college has become beautiful, clean in the form of a plastic free zone. In this all the college staff, students are self aware and this awareness shows our love for the environment and makes us feel good and responsible toward the nation. We as an institute try to include this value to villages nearby as it is the most important step in the conservation of nature.
5.Evidence of success
This practice is very successful. Students are beginning to know the bad effect of plastics use. Plastic are rarely used by student, and disseminate the knowledge of bad effect of plastic to their home, society and village. The slogan of “No Plastic use“ has spread over the society and environment. College campus is regularly checked by student and whenever they found such mess they instantly clean the campus.
6. Problems Encountered and Resources Required.
The major problem was switching from plastic as we all are aware of the fact that plastic is the most easily available material so the major problem was finding alternatives as there are very few cheap alternatives. And another major problem is to create mindset among the people and make a change as it is the challenge faced by most of the world.
7. Notes:
Our idea of “Plastic free campus” is disseminate over the village, and homes. As well as with the help of NSS we bring the awareness among the people, to keep away our livestock from the plastic. Plastic consumption by any cattle is dangerous to their lives. Plastic generally spoil the fertility of land.
